Keith Rich Memorial Scholarship

The Keith Rich Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the extraordinary legacy of Keith Rich, who was the founder and long-standing president of the Spencerport Sports Booster Organization. For more than 30 years, Keith committed his time, energy, and unwavering passion to supporting Spencerport athletics.

In addition to his role with the Sports Boosters, Keith volunteered within the Spencerport community for over 45 years. His service included participating as a board member for Spencerport Jr. Baseball, playing a key role in the establishment of both the Spencerport High School Ice Hockey and Football Programs, and serving as President of the Spencerport Sports Boosters for several years.

Keith embodied generosity, selflessness, and commitment to giving back, consistently inspiring numerous student-athletes and team managers throughout his life. This scholarship is intended to recognize a male high school student-athlete or male team manager who demonstrates the same values that Keith exemplified during his lifetime.

The Charles "Butch" Pennica Scholarship 

The Charles "Butch" Pennica Scholarship was created to celebrate the enduring legacy of Spencerport’s cherished Booster Club member, concession stand director, and dedicated advocate for student-athletes. For more than thirty years, Chuck Pennica has played an integral role in the Spencerport athletic community, serving as a Booster Club member since 1993 and leading concessions for twenty-six years. His selfless service, welcoming presence, and steadfast commitment have left a lasting impact on students and families alike.

This scholarship recognizes Mr. Pennica’s tireless dedication to Spencerport athletics over two decades, his unwavering support for both boys’ and girls’ sports, and his exemplary volunteerism. His spirit and commitment to both school and community have inspired the creation of this award, which is presented to an outstanding Senior Female Athlete or Female Team Manager at Spencerport High School. The scholarship reflects the values of leadership, school spirit, and community service that "Butch" embodied throughout his years of service.
